The 2016 Baron Investment Conference was held today in NYC! Starting at 7 am, Baron Fund shareholders and advisors flocked to the Metropolitan Opera House in Lincoln Center to attend.

The New York-based Baron Funds, hosted this one-day event, themed "exceptional takes time," for 5,000 people today. The conference featured a slew of special guest speakers, including: Jordan Kaplan, president and CEO of Douglas Emmett, Inc; Chuck Kummeth, president and CEO of Bio-Techne Corporation; David Lissy, CEO of Bright Horizons Family Solutions, Inc; Jonathan Ayers, chairman and CEO of IDEXX Labratories, Inc; Linda Martinson, chairman, president and COO of Baron Capital Group (BCG), Baron Funds; and Ronald Baron, CEO and CIO of BCG, Baron Funds. Portfolio managers of various Baron Funds also gave special lectures, including: Cliff Greenberg, Michael Kass, Jeff Kolitch, Mike Lippert, Andrew Peck, James Stone, Alex Umansky, Laird Bieger and Randy Gwirtzman.

Entertainment was not absent from the conference, either. In addition to high-level executive keynotes and panels, there was also special performances from the cast of Hamilton, including: Leslie Odom, Jr. and Phillipa Soo; Kenny Loggins, Louie C.K., and a special concluding performance from Hugh Jackman. Jackman is currently on break from filming the final Wolverine installment.
