Company: Allianz Global Investors

Appointment: Mona Mahajan

Yesterday Neil Dwane, global strategist at AllianzGI, confirmed the hiring of Mahajan as U.S. investment strategist, reporting to Dwane. Mahajan most recently served as PM and product specialist for the structured finance fixed income strategy at MetLife Investments. She previously worked at Mirae Asset, Para Advisors, Ziff Brothers, Pfizer, and Booz Allen Hamilton.

Company: BMO Global Asset Management

Appointment: Tara Liceaga

On August 23 Dave Majewski, head of client service for BMO GAM, unveiled the appointment of Liceaga as senior relationship manager, based in Chicago. She previously worked with Institutional Capital and Oak Venture Advisors.

Company: OppenheimerFunds

Appointment: Paul Brunswick

On August 23, Rocco Benedetto, head of the broker-dealer channel at OpFunds, confirmed the hiring of Brunswick as senior business consultant in the firm's CEO Advisor Institute. Brunswick now reports to Paul Blease, director of the institute. Brunswick most recently led the corporate solutions division for CEG Worldwide. Prior to that, he worked at Smith Barney, Merrill, and P&G.

Company: FPA

Changing Role: Dennis Bryan, Arik Ahitov

On August 22, Rich Atwood, managing partner of FPA, confirmed that on October 1, Bryan will step back from PMing the FPA Capital Fund. Bryan will become a senior advisor to the fund's team, while Ahitov, FPA partner and already a PM of the fund, will become the fund's sole PM.

Company: T. Rowe Price

Appointment: Phil Soto, Jonathan Crooks

On August 15 Jim Zurad, head of national banks, U.S. intermediaries - financial institutions group at T. Rowe, confirmed the hiring of Soto as a regional account executive. Zurad also confirmed the recent promotion of Crooks to the same team. Baltimore-based Crooks and San Francisco-based Soto both report to Zurad. Soto most recently served as a relationship manager in Wells Fargo's private bank, and prior to that he worked at Franklin Templeton. Crooks most recently covered RIAs and regional banks for T. Rowe, and prior to that he worked in the muni bond department of the fixed income group.
