An ETF shop may soon be getting into the roboadvisor space, but with a twist.

The team at San Diego-based Reality Shares [profile] is "getting ready to build out this roboadvisor for cryptocurrency investing," a source familiar with the situation tells MFWire. The rumored name of the platform is OnRamp.

Eric Ervin, CEO of Reality Shares, declined to comment for this story.

The way MFWire hears it, Reality Shares' OnRamp would be a mobile app that would offer retail investors easy access to a variety of different cryptocurrencies. And Reality Shares might partner with financial advisors and others for referrals.

A beta version of OnRamp is expected in the fall, with full launch targeted for winter.

Reality Shares is no cryptocurrency noob. Ervin says he caught blockchain fever two years ago, and so far in 2018 they've launched two blockchain-focused ETFs and a blockchain-focused venture capital fund.
