Jenny Johnson, president and chief operating officer of Franklin Resources (dba Franklin Templeton),
confirms that she now serves as an advisor to
Shatter Fund. Shatter is a VC firm focused on investing in female-led tech startups.
Johnson lauds Shatter as a "a company that is strategically engaged in supporting the many communities of female entrepreneurs in the US and abroad." She puts her move in the context of Franklin Templeton's "deep commitment to increasing diversity in asset management."
Shelly Kapoor Collins, founder and general partner of Shatter, praises Johnson as "a leading role model and example for women in business and what is possible for female entrepreneurs."
Johnson, an alumna of UC Davis, joined Franklin 31 years ago. She served as chief information officer, then executive vice president and COO, then
co-president, and now president and COO.
