Jill Paitchel has been named president of
Janus International, the Denver-based mutual fund company's global division. This is a new position.
The firm said Paitchel, formerly of Citigroup Asset Management, will be responsible for day-to-day oversight of international business and will be based in Westport, Connecticut. She will report to
Erich Gerth, senior vice president and managing director of the Janus Global Adviser business.
Paitchel's hiring follows several key appointments at the company since investigations into into trading practices by regulators began last fall. Gerth replaced
Richard Garland, who resigned last fall. And the company recently hired
Marianne Smythe, a former SEC director, to review company policy.
Also,
Amy Martich has been named national account director for Janus Global Adviser. Her responsibilties will include building key relationships with broker-dealer firms, including national wire houses, regional firms and independents.
