Federico Laffan was promoted to vice president and co-portfolio manager of American Century's International Small Cap Equity team, effective June 1.

The former senior investment analyst at American Century joined the firm in 2001 and has focused on researching small- to mid-capitalization European companies.

Laffan will continue to work with the team managing the International Discovery fund.
