Franklin Templeton Institutional has named an insider to head domestic institutional sales.
J. Carter Bailey, Jr. takes leadership of the firm's sales to private and public retirement plans, foundations and institutions.
Bailey will continue to oversee the firm's business development efforts in the Southeast. He is based out of Atlanta, Georgia and reports to Reed Hutches, who is the director for Franklin's domestic sales and client services.
Joining Bailey are
Dan Veddern and
William Makris, who will be responsible for business development in the Mid-Atlantic and the West, respectively. Veddern previously targeted mid-market clients in the Midwest, while Makris focused on business development within the firm's retirement group. Beddern and Makris replace Dennis Rothe and Michael Poremba, who both joined Franklin's newly created group for investment consultant support.
