Matthews International Capital Management has filed for a new India offering. The Matthews India Fund will invest at least 80 percent of assets in Indian and Indian Subcontinent stocks and convertible securities, according to the fund's
filing.
Total fund expenses are 200 basis points, after a four basis point waiver. The fund also has a 90-day 200 basis point redemption fee. Minimum non-retirement account investments are $2,500 and retirement accounts are $500.
The fund's lead manager will be Andrew T. Foster, and the fund will be co-managed by Matthews chief executive officer Mark W. Headley.
The San Francisco-based fund manager also offers three other country specific funds for China, Japan and Korea, as well as four Asian region funds.
