Credit Suisse Asset Management has named Michael Baldinger head of U.S. sales.

Baldinger will oversee both the retail and institutional channel. He was hired away from Bear, Stearns, where he was a managing director in institutional equity sales.

"CSAM has both a strong global platform and local expertise here in the US," Baldinger said in a statement. "I am excited to work with the team at CSAM to deliver world class investment solutions to US institutional and retail clients."
