Oppenheimer Holdings has hired away a team of analysts and managers from Carmel, Indiana-based 40/86 Advisors.

Gregory Hahn joins Oppenheimer as managing director and chief investment officer of fixed income. Hahn was previously the chief investment officer at 40/86 Advisors, the investment advisor subsidiary to Conseco.

"The addition of Greg and his team just underscores our firm's long-term focus on building an institutional investment platform and culture," said Neal Wilkinson, managing director of sales and marketing for Oppenheimer Investment Management, in a statement.
