It's official -- the American Express Funds will become
RiverSource Funds on October 1. The name change is part of a rebranding coinciding with the American Express' spin-off of Ameriprise Financial that will also take place on the first.
The Minneapolis-based financial services firm announced last spring that it would be carving out its Financial Advisors unit. The rebranding of the 60 mutual funds and 20 variable products is part of that process.
The rebranding covers funds carrying the AXP, Threadneedle and Partners brands.
Information on the funds will be carried at a new Web site (
www.riversource.com/investments) starting on November 1.
