Mario Gabelli has signed on a U.S. Trust Company executive as his new chief financial officer. The new CFO for GAMCO Investors, Gabelli’s Rye, New York-based asset management shop is Agnes Mullady.

Mallady has been CFO, treasurer and chief accounting officer at U.S. Trust (sponsor to the 29 Excelsior Funds), since February 2004. She is a longtime fund industry veteran, having worked at Reserve Management and Northstar Investment Management prior to U.S. Trust during her two decades in the industry.

"Agnes is a welcome addition to our management team as we position our mutual funds for growth over the next five years. She has superb credentials in the mutual fund administration, compliance and accounting fields. Her wealth of experience will serve us well in the years ahead," said Bruce N. Alpert, Gabelli Fund’s chief operating officer,
