Brokerage firms and money managers say that they are being kept in the dark about two unbundling proposals being put forward by the US Securities and Exchange Commission and the US Department of Labor. The proposals concern the duty of a fund sponsor and pension fund manager to control and account for investment expenses after the scandals and lawsuits in the industry.
Financial News reports that industry insiders say that the proposals have been under-reported for the impact they could have on the industry.
