More work, more pay this is now a mutual fund director's day. Today's
WSJ FundTrack reports that directors earned 15.5% more in 2006, their fifth consecutive year of double-digit pay increases, this is according to data from Management Practice, a consulting firm that specializes in advice to fund boards. Directors of companies with the largest amount of assets earned a median income of $171,775 in 2006 up from $147,000 in 2005. The increase in pay could be attributed to the demand for more specialized skills in directors.
