The chief executive of
Putnam Investments has no qualms about relinquishing his post should the asset management firm's new owner decide to install a new CEO.
Charles Haldeman, Putnam's CEO since 2003, told
InvestmentNews that "if that's what they want to do, that's fine with me." He added:"“If they don’t, that’s even more fine with me. I’m really happy with this job." The $3.9 billion acquisition of Putnam by Canada-based
Power Financial Corp. is expected to close next month.
