Federated Investors racked up a $400,000 lobbying tab during the first six months of 2007.
The AP reports that the Pittsburgh-based asset manager paid law firm Baker & Hostetler LLP to push a bill through Congress that would expand the availability of money market funds to securities firms. The firm also lobbied the Justice department and the SEC.
