In some government agency on government agency action, the
GAO is set to release another report that is critical of the
SEC, sources tell the
WSJ. The report, expected as soon as today, addresses the insider trading debacle set off by allegations from former SEC enforcement attorney
Gary Aguirre, who says he was let go to stop him from issuing a subpoena to
John Mack, now chief of
Morgan Stanley. Yesterday the GAO released a report that was critical of the SEC's risk ratings of fund firms.
