Friday's Wall Street Journal Fund Track column by Diya Gullapalli delves into some the problems going on at Putnam Investments that have been widely reported of late. Gullapalli writes that staffing changes are underway at the company as a result of the performance of some of its biggest funds. The MFWire reported on the situation in December. (see "Putnam May Plug into New Sales Force in 08,'" December 17, 2008) Gullapalli attributes Putnam's recent performance issues to the credit crunch.
