Company Press Release

SPARX Asia Funds, a mutual fund complex offering investment funds managed exclusively by SPARX Group, one of Asia’s largest independent asset management firms, today announced that its growing family of Asia-focused mutual funds are now available through FundVest®, Pershing LLC’s no-transaction fee mutual fund platform. Pershing LLC is a subsidiary of The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation.

Pershing’s FundVest mutual fund platform offers investors access to over 2,200 mutual funds, managed by more than 170 fund companies. Through FundVest, investors can buy, sell or exchange an array of load and no-load mutual funds without incurring regular transaction fees.

FundVest® now provides four SPARX Asia Funds products, including the SPARX Asia-Pacific Opportunities Fund (SPAPX), the SPARX Asia-Pacific Equity Income Fund (SPAIX) and the SPARX Japan Smaller Companies Fund (SPJSX). Also available is the SPARX Japan Fund (SPXJX), which debuted in 2003. The funds are available to Pershing’s introducing broker-dealer customers and the clients they serve and to independent registered investment advisors and their clients through Pershing’s affiliate, Pershing Advisor Solutions LLC.

“We are pleased to distribute the full family of SPARX Asia Funds strategies as part of Pershing’s mutual fund platform,” said Evan R. Gartenlaub, President of SPARX Asia Funds. “This offers both financial advisors and their clients a new no-load option for investing in the dynamic markets of Asia, one of the world’s fastest growing regions.”
