The Fed's generous interest rate cuts are not a boon for everyone, money-market fund sponsors are having to take action to remedy falling returns.
The Financial Times reports that
Dreyfus and
Evergreen Investments have both waived the management fees on their funds to bolster returns. However, investors seem undeterred: they poured $1.7 billion into money-market funds in the week ended March 18.
