Money-Media, the publisher of
Ignites, fetched quite a price when it was sold to U.K. media company
Pearson earlier this year.
In its
annual report for 2007, Pearson, which publishes the
Financial Times, disclosed it had acquired New York-based Money-Media for $64 million.
When the sale was first announced in early January, a source speculated that Money-Media could have sold for as much as as four times its $16.8 million in revenue.
Other Money-Media titles include
Fund Fire and
Board IQ.

Correction: A prior version of this story mislabeled a revenue figure as something else.
