Diversified stock funds had a rough first quarter and value funds did not fare much better,
Jonathan Burton reports in Wednesday's
WSJ FundTrack. According to
Lipper data, diversified funds lost an average of 10.1 percent in Q1, value funds lost between 9.5 and 7.1 percent depending on their cap weight. A little performance surprise for the quarter were real estate funds, which lost only 1.3 percent despite all the turmoil in that market.
