On April 10,
Pimco filed with the SEC to launch what is calls the
Pimco Fixed Income Unconstrained Fund. The planned offering is the subject of Wednesday's
Wall Street Journal Fund Track column penned by Daisy Maxey. The fund may invest in instruments such as government securities, structured notes, inflation-indexed bonds and mortgage-backed and other asset-backed securities. The fund may pour as much as half of assets into securities and instruments economically linked to emerging-market countries, and may invest as much as 40 percent in junk bonds.
