JPMorgan's fund services division is looking at new property in Boston for a planned expansion.
The Boston's Globe's resident Fidelity expert,
Ross Kerber (in tandem with
Thomas Palmer), reports that the city of Boston wants JPMorgan to make that planned expansion into a blighted area of waterfront property and has offered $4 million in tax breaks if it does so. Kerber and Palmer say JPMorgan hopes to add around 400 jobs to its Boston operation in coming years. They added that no final decision has been made by JPMorgan as to where it will move its operations.
