Paul Schieber has signed on with Principal Funds as a regional vice president covering the western sales region. Schieber had been a regional manager and director of internal sales at Lord Abbett before making the move.

He reports to Tim Hill, national sales director for Principal Funds. Hill did not disclose who held the post prior to Schieber.

Principal's western sales region covers 13 states.

Lord Abbett has not publicly announced Schieber's replacement.
