"ETFs are the most important financial innovation of the last 30 years and will continue to revolutionize and transform the investment industry," said Koehler. "I have followed the progress of the ETF industry closely over my career, and I am convinced ETFs will continue to benefit investors tremendously. I'm also excited to be making an equity investment in the firm and serving with Rich Romey and the ETF Portfolio Solutions team as stewards for current and future clients."

Prior to joining ETF Portfolio Solutions, Koehler, 47, was a vice president at American Century Investments, where he led the day-to-day investment oversight efforts. He was a founding member of the firm's Investment Oversight Committee, which is responsible for the firm's 32 investment strategies representing approximately $100 billion in assets under management spread across 88 mutual funds and separate accounts.
