A prominent
ICI lobbyist with ties to the "K-Street" project has resigned.
The Politico reports that
Dan Crowley, the head of government affairs at the ICI, has resigned. Crowley reportedly got his post at the ICI after then-House Financial Services chairman
Michael G. Oxley (R-Ohio) ever so-kindly suggested that the fund industry would do well to replace its top lobbyist, Democrat
Julie Domenick, with a Republican. Crowley had been with the ICI since 2003.
ICI spokesman
Ed Giltenan told the
The MFWire that Crowley had accomplished all the goals he wanted to in his five years with the organization.
As for Crowley's future plans, Giltenan said he may go to another firm or start his own. He added that Crowley would be staying on to help with the transition, the search for his replacement and possibly even mentor that replacement.
