First Eagle Distributors has tapped an insider to head up its distribution arm.
Robert Bruno, 44, will take the newly created role of president of First Eagle Funds Distributors. Bruno is already the role as chief operations and financial officer of First Eagle Distributors and will continue in that role as well.
The First Eagle Funds has been in flux of late since the successor to legendary fund manager
Jean-Marie Eveillard,
Charles De Vaulx, left the company in haste last April. Eveillard came out of retirement to take over management of the funds and made a five-year commitment to managing the funds and searching for another viable successor.

New York - Robert Bruno, 44, was named to the new position of president of First Eagle Funds Distributors, the broker-dealer division of Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder Securities, LLC. Bruno will be responsible for all aspects of the administration and distribution of First Eagle Funds, including sales and marketing. He also will continue in his role as Chief Operations and Financial Officer.
Robert Bruno joined Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder Advisers in 1997. With over 21 years of experience in the asset management industry, his prior experience includes: President and Chief Operating Officer with Coelho Associates, LLC (1996-1997), Chief Administrative Officer of Wertheim Schroder Investment Services (1991-1996), Prudential Asset Management (1989 – 1991), the US. Securities and Exchange Commission (1987-1989) and Goldman Sachs & Company (1985-1987). He received an MBA and a BS degree from Fordham University.
