The stock market turmoil appears to have pushed investors to gold and silver, which is good news for SPDR Gold Shares and iShares Silver Trust. In Wednesday's Wall Street Journal "Fund Track" column, Allen Sykora reports on the record or near-record holdings in the two ETFs. SPDR Gold has held 775.33 metrics of gold since December 17, up from 627.88 at the end of 2007 and 614.35 in mid-September 2008. iShares Silver now holds 6,792.99 metric tons, just shy of their 6,901.41 late-September peak.
