WisdomTree has renamed six funds within its "high-yielding equity fund" lineup, saying the new name better communicates the funds' investment strategy. The funds now sport the "equity income fund" moniker.

“The equity income name better articulates the investment strategy of these six funds which focus on the highest dividend-yielding stocks in their respective indexes," said Bruce Lavine, president and chief operating officer at the New York-based firm.
