Neil Bathon just added another executive to his team at FUSE Research Network. On Thursday the asset management consulting firm revealed that Jason Heinhorst, former brand manager of Jackson National's variable annuity business line in Denver, joined up as senior vice president and business development chief.
Bathon, who founded Financial Research Corporation (now owned by Mercatus) more than two decades ago, launched FUSE last year and brought on FRC alums Michael Evans and Sam Campbell as FUSE's president and director of research, respectively (see MFWire, 9/15/2008, 10/6/2008 and 11/21/2008).
"With Jason joining Mike [Evans] and Sam Campbell, FUSE has a solid foundation upon which to build," Bathon stated, praising the trio as "a sharp and aggressive team."

Prior to joining FUSE Jason served as the brand manager of the variable annuity business line at Jackson National in Denver, CO. Earlier in his career Jason managed the US sales team at Lipper and oversaw a complete restructuring that resulted in record annual revenue and client retention rates. Mr. Heinhorst got his start in the business on the phones at Janus Capital in 1992. Jason is a proud graduate of the University of Iowa with a BBA in Finance and the University of Colorado with a MS in Finance.
