Gino Torretta, manager of institutional sales at
Gamco Investors,
was elected into the College Football Hall of Fame. Torretta led the University
of Miami to the national championship in 1991 and won the Heisman Trophy
in 1992.
Torretta, who played quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions,
San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks and Indianapolis Colts, joined Gamco
in 2004. Prior to joining Gamco, he worked as a senior financial advisor at Wachovia Securities.
Torretta, 38, is one of 16 players voted into the College Football Hall of Fame this year out of 76 who were featured on the ballot.
