What, if anything, will the
Department of Labor and
SEC decide to do to target date funds? On Thursday the two regulators held an all-day, nine-panel hearing on the successes and failures of the popular, age-based asset allocation funds (see our sister publication for complete coverage:

The
Wall Street Journal's Eleanor Laise
provides a glimpse at the hearing. The WSJ focuses on the losses suffered by 2010 funds and highlights the controversy about equity allocations and perceived guarantees in funds with target dates of 2010 and earlier. And so the question now turns back to the regulators: what, if anything, will they do?
