Bob Reynolds has become the face of success in the Boston area as local publications like the
Boston Herald continue touting his name. After his one year at the helm of Putnam Investments, the Herald has given Reynolds high marks for his management at the fund firm and imbued him with the turnaround of
Putnam Investments.
Covering similar to an article in the
Wall Street Journal, the Herald notes that the former
Fidelity exec has changed the firm's investment strategy from a team-based management system to one that is led by top managers who bear much weight on making individual investment decisions. Reynolds has brought in a slew of well-known managers, some who were former Fidelity colleagues to help lead the firm and he introduced new product, the Herald added.
“There was a vacuum at Putnam he needed to fill,”
Dalbar president
Louis Harvey told the Herald.
