Fidelity Reveals Portfolio Manager Changes

by: Meredith Mazzilli

Fidelity has tapped Robert Galusza, who has been at Fidelity since 1987, to become the lead portfolio manager for the Intermediate Bond Fund. Galusza will also continue managing the Short-Term Bond Fund and the Ultra-Short Bond Fund, which he has overseen since July 2007.

The Boston Behemoth appointed Sonu Kalra to run the Blue Chip Growth Fund, succeeding Jennifer Uhrig. Kalra joined Fidelity in 1998 and has managed the Fidelity OTC Portfolio since 2005.

Gavin Baker steps into role of OTC Portfolio manager. He will also continue to manage the Select Wireless Portfolio, which he has overseen since 2007, but will now serve as a co-manager of the portfolio alongside Kyle Weaver, who also manages the Select IT Services Portfolio.

Kristina Salen takes over from Baker as manager of the Select Telecommunications Portfolio, while also retaining her duties as manager of the Select Multimedia Portfolio. Salen joined Fidelity in 2006.

The appointments took effect July 1.
