State Street Global Advisors'
second quarter looks better than its first. AUM rose 11.6 percent from $1.395 trillion on March 31 to $1.557 trillion on June 30, while the unit's investment management fees climbed seven percent from $181 million in Q1 to $193 million in Q2.
Those improvements are in spite of SSGA's year-over-year numbers. AUM fell 18 percent from $1.894 trillion on June 30, 2008, while fees fell 31 percent from $280 million in Q2 2008.
