Bob Reynolds' media blitz continues in Monday's Fund Track column in the Wall Street Journal without Reynolds himself.

Jon Kamp reports on the outperformance so far in 2009 of the Putnam Voyager Fund, boasting $2.3 billion and 39 percent year-to-date returns (compared to 11 percent for the S&P 500 and 19 percent for other large-cap growth funds).

The story fits nicely into Reynolds' efforts to turn around the Boston-based fund firm. Voyager manager Nick Thakore, who like Reynolds is a Fidelity alum, joined Putnam in November from RiverSource as managing director and portfolio manager.
