As the industry debate rages over floating money-market NAVs,
DWS Investments has filed papers with the SEC to
launch the
DWS Variable NAV Money Fund. Eleanor Laise picked up on the filing in Thursday's
Wall Street Journal Fund Track column.
The planned offering comes with a $1 million minimum investment.
While DWS declined to comment specifically on the proposed fund, managing director
Joe Benevento said the firm views variable NAV money funds as another option for the market, not a replacement for stable-NAV
products.
