Fidelity spokesman Steve Austin confirmed that Supple reports directly to Cieszko. A 19-year Fidelity veteran, Supple most recently served as national sales manager at FIIS.
Craig Huntley, who previously led sales and relationship management for FIIS' advisor channel, left FIIS earlier this year. Austin confirmed that Cieszko subsequently restructured FIIS, and Supple now leads distribution for most of FIIS' channels, including: broker-dealers, insurance and wealth advisors (including RIAs). And last week the
MFWire reported that Cieszko hired fellow
Evergreen Investments alum
Scott Couto as head of product management at FIIS.
The
MFWire first reported in April on the departure of several senior FIIS executives, including the heads of sales and product, and then in August Fidelity confirmed that Cieszko himself was handling distribution while searching for a new distribution chief.
Cieszko took over FIIS in January after leaving Evergreen. According to Austin, FIIS supports about "4,500 firms with assets of over $100 billion."
