Mark Schlafly President and CEO, FSC Securities

Since the summer of 2008, Mark Schlafly has been at the helm of Atlanta-based FSC Securities, one of three independent broker-dealers that make up AIG Advisor Group, along with Royal Alliance and Sagepoint Financial. Speculation regarding the Advisor Group's fate ended three months ago, when AIG decided to keep the group after nearly a year of exploring a sale.

As of end-June, FSC supported around 1,299 advisors in more than 550 cities.

Schlafly also serves as executive vice president of the Advisor Group, managing the group's product partner program, product sales and marketing, investment research and corporate communications teams.

Prior to joining FSC, Schlafly was with LPL Financial in the role of senior vice president of brokerage products and services. Earlier, he spent 20 years at A.G. Edwards, where his roles included taking charge of mutual fund sales and marketing.
