BNY Mellon Asset Management tapped John Herlihy for the newly created position of managing director of broker-dealer relations. Herlihy will oversee
b-d relationships across BNY Mellon's investment boutiques, including
Dreyfus Corp. He reports to BNY Mellon Asset Management COO Scott Wennerholm.
Herlihy has been with BNY Mellon since 2005. Prior to taking on his new role,
he was a managing director of global client management, responsible
for building strategic relationships with top institutional clients in the b-d, investment
management and insurance industries. He worked at AT&T Business Services prior to joining BNY Mellon.

BOSTON & LONDON, Feb. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- John F. Herlihy has been named managing director, broker/dealer relations, for BNY Mellon Asset Management, with responsibility for leading the business' relationships with broker/dealers across its investment boutiques. In this newly created position, Herlihy reports to Scott E. Wennerholm, chief operating officer of BNY Mellon Asset Management.

In his new role, Herlihy will provide a global perspective across the individual investment boutiques' relationships with broker/dealers, with a focus on driving higher levels of efficiency and effectiveness in service, execution and risk management. Additionally, Herlihy will provide a single point of contact for broker/dealers as the business develops strategic initiatives going forward.
Herlihy had been managing director, global client management, for BNY Mellon since 2005, with responsibility for building strategic relationships with its top institutional clients in the broker/dealer, investment management and insurance industries. Before joining BNY Mellon, he was at AT&T Business Services, where he held a range of positions, including sales management, marketing, operations and general management.
He received his bachelor's degree from St. Lawrence University and was a senior fellow in the Emerging Leaders Program at the University of Massachusetts.
