AdvisorCentral -- the alliance of Fidelity, Franklin Templeton, Putnam, and PFPC -- has tapped Brodeur Worldwide to be its public relations agency, Cathy Angellis, vice president of marketing at AdvisorCentral, told the MutualFundWire.com. The alliance provides a free online service for RIAs and financial advisors.

The website is designed to provide advisors with consolidated mutual fund account information, transactional acapabilities, processing, and customer service. The firm intends for the financial advisor to see all of a given client's holdings in on e place. Joseph Grause, Jr. is the president and ceo.

"They will be creating a media plan and some e-marketing strategies for reaching our targeted users, the financial advisors," Angellis explained.

"We needed a firm that could help us with more than just public relations. I like to call it public communications. They knew how to play in this space. They have worked with companies similar to AdvisorCentral. And they have worked with Fidelity's PowerStreet," she added. Brodeur also represents Insurance.com.

"Given our aggressive goals and timeframe, it was essential that we partner with an agency like Brodeur that could not only give us strategy and tactical implementation but also retain other partner firms and consultants on our behalf and manage the whole process with me," the executive contended.

AdvisorCentral also plans to have a booth at the ICI Conference this month.
