Salomon Smith Barney has decided to make changes to its stock research department to reflect the changes required by the settlement between Merrill Lynch and Eliot Spitzer, New York Attorney General, according to an article in The New York Times. The firm will be creating a research review committee to have oversight on analysts' recommendations.
