Sandler O'Neill & Partners has tapped Robert Albertson to be a principal and chief strategist. He will chair the investment policy committee, which guides the firm on the financial services sector. Albertson will report to Jimmy Dunne, senior managing principal. In 1999, the executive founded Pilot Financial. Prior that move, he was at Goldman Sachs where he was director of U.S. bank research.
