So, it looks like it will be next week when FleetBoston and Robertson Stephens will announce a management buyout for the San Francisco investment bank, according to an article in The Boston Globe. A couple of months ago, Fleet tried to sell Robertson Stephens but could find no buyers. The paper predicts that if these talks fail and no buyer emerges, then Robertson Stephens could disappear off the map.
