Philip Meserve, senior executive vice president of business development at MetLife, has left the firm, confirmed a MetLife spokesperson to the MutualFundWire.com.

The official would not comment beyond the fact that Meserve had resigned and as of press time it had not been learned if Meserve has taken employment elsewhere in the industry.

His departure comes on the heels of both of his bosses -- Jamie Shepherdson and Greg Brakovich -- also leaving.

Prior to joining MetLife, Meserve joined Citigroup's SSB unit to head its fund sales in January of 2000.
