Federated Adds B/D Wholesalers

by: InvestmentWires Staff,

Federated Investors has hired two new sales management professionals to strengthen Federated's distribution reach in the broker-dealer channel.

Christopher L. Johnston and Kevin R. Stutz will join Federated's sales team as vice presidents and regional sales managers, said Richard W. Boyd, senior vice president and national sales director of the broker-dealer channel.

Johnston reporte to Boyd while Stutz reports to Jim Hamilton, senior vice president, national sales manager for Edward Jones.

Johnston joins Federated as vice president and regional manager for the Central region where he will oversee marketing representatives who call on broker-dealer clients in 13 states. He was most recently national sales manager for USAllianz, where he managed a staff of 11 and was instrumental in key account marketing initiatives.

Stutz joins Federated as vice president and regional manager for the West region where he will oversee the marketing representatives who are part of the dedicated Edward Jones sales team for 22 Western states. He was last a regional vice president MFS Investment Management based in Texas. He was also a senior divisional vice president with MFS, coordinating sales among eight wholesalers in the South-central, Midwest and Southeast regions.

"Federated will benefit from the sales management leadership of both Chris and Kevin, while at the same time being able to leverage the relationships with financial intermediaries that each has built over his career," Boyd said. "Now more than ever is the time to support the needs of our clients to enhance their ability to build their businesses and provide outstanding service to their clients," he continued.
