In her
article as part of The Wall Street Journal's
monthly Investing in Funds special section, Karen Damato notes the increase
in the number of fund firms offering load-waived products.
She cites the experience of Eaton Vance, which made such a move through Schwab's supermarket, about a year-and-a-half ago and after getting "little or no push-back" from advisors, the Boston fund firm
made a similar move to cover nearly all the funds in its roster. It also
did the same at TD Ameritrade.
Other firms that have load-waived products available through Schwab or TD
Ameritrade include Principal FInancial, Calamos and Henderson Global Investors.
