In an
interview with
The Baltimore Sun published over the weekend,
T. Rowe Price CEO
James Kennedy confessed that it's not easy to lure
people to Baltimore.
"We've been successful, but we've lost a lot of good talent over the years," Kennedy told the pub. "Having 'Homicide' filmed in Baltimore, having 'The Wire' filmed in Baltimore did not help us. We've lost some talent because of those shows."
"Publicity about safety is concerning to our people and our candidates," he added. "And taxes. It's sad to see taxes this high. A lot of other states are more appealing to the business world."
The interview also covered Kennedy's White House visit and his thoughts on the housing market.
Kennedy also revealed that everyone at T. Rowe that made under $150,000 received raises last year.
Those above that mark "generally" did not get raises, he said.
