OppenheimerFunds has filled its vacant head of distribution position. The former head of DWS Investments Distributors,
Philipp Hensler, is joining Oppenheimer.
A former coworker told
The MFWire that Hensler will start April 1. Oppenheimer declined to comment.
Hensler replaces
Bill Carey, who left the company in late January after four months on the job. Oppenheimer reportedly used executive headhunting company
Russell Reynolds for the search.
George Wilbanks, managing director at Russell Reynolds, was not immediately available to comment.
Before leaving DWS, Hensler began work on earning his PhD. After his departure, he used his newly free time to devote himself to the degree. Hensler could not be reached for comment.
